Supreme Protein Bars...
Ok, so this is a review for Supreme Protein bars that I had inquired about! I have been on the hunt for healthy snacks that work with my diet. I am borderline diabetic and a fitness freak, so I am very particular! Anyways, I received quite a few different flavors in the mail, including Peanut Butter & Jelly, Carmel Nut Chocolate, and Peanut Butter Pretzel Twist to name a few. I know that they have bars that are 30g of protein, but these in particular are labeled as 15g of protein! The primary source of the protein is Whey Isolate! Well, now for the taste test! Here goes nothing!
Wow! The Peanut Butter Pretzel Twist is amazing! It has peanut butter and crushed pretzel all on the outside, seems like a thin layer of carmel and then the protein layer in the middle! I have tasted many protein bars in my day and nearly all of them tasted like sawdust! Not this bar! There is so much going on with this bar, you can barely notice the protein! D-licious!

The Peanut Butter and Jelly tastes as close to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as you can get with a protein bar! You have a layer of peanut butter all the way around the bar, then a strawberry jelly center and of course the protein center which acts as the bread! Very tasty!

Last but not least, the Carmel Nut Chocolate is great for chocolate lovers!!! (My wife loves this one. Chocolate, carmel, and peanuts are her 3 favorites!) You have chocolate and nuts all the way around the outside, then a layer of carmel atop the protein center!

In closing, these are now one of my 2 favorite protein bars as my other favorites are the P90X protein bars! A review on those will be coming soon! (Lots to review these days!) One complaint that I have about these bars would be that you really need to keep them in a cool place! This seems more true than any other bars I've tried! If not, good luck getting the delicious contents of the package out of it's wrapper! After mine melted on the way to work, I stuck it in the fridge for a bit and all was good! These bars earned a thumbs up from me!

Review of 52 things Kids need from a dad
52 things kids need from a dad: By Jay Payleitner
(What fathers can do to make a lifelong difference)
This was a phenomenal book. The day I found this book, I was searching the internet for ways to try and be a better father. I grew up in "not the best of situations" I guess you would say! (Trying to be as positive and PC as possible here!) I too can get frustrated with my boys and am trying to find the best ways to deal with this as well. Also, when I think back on all the great father figures I've seen, they all have a certain set of rituals, traditions and routine that they do with their kids. There must be something that I can do with my boys on a regular basis! If this is you as well, then this book is for you!
Example: Chapter 2, To catch the fire flies!
In this chapter it talks about a father who is a work-o-holic and is running late to a big meeting! He had his 8-9 yr old son in the car with him. While driving on a 2-lane stretch of highway, he suddenly, he hits the brakes, pulls over, gets out of his car and goes to the trunk. His son was confused because the car and it's tires seemed fine. His father comes back, taps on the window with a glass jar in had, and says come on! They both go running into the field, wing tip shoes and all! For what seems like forever, they are scooping bugs and fire flies with their bare hands, having a good ole time. His some puts some grass in the jar. His father pokes a couple of holes in the lid and carry the container back to the car like a trophy! His some had a huge smile on his face. What made his father decide at that moment to pull over and do this, his son doesn't know! Perhaps it was memories of his past, or heaven speaking to him, but his son will never forget it!
The point of this story: Never miss the chance to stop and make a memory! Sometimes you may even want to orchestrate those memories yourself.
There are 52 lessons like this in this book! Like learning to not get angry because you children dented you new garage door! That would be because there are many places your kids could be, and god only knows with who. His kids and their friends found their house and their home environment so comfortable, that they actually choose to play ball at home instead of gallivanting!
Point of this story: Your kids grow up fast! They will be gone before you know it! After that, there will be plenty of time to re-sod, re-paint, re-screen, re-carpet, and relax!
This is a must read for any father that wants to be a better and memorable father!!
2 thumbs up!

Made To Crave by Lysa TerKeurst
Guest Post By GreenIdMama
I am almost done reading this book, I thought that I would finish it today. But with 3 sick kids it just did not happen.
So the day that I revived Made To Crave I was just thumbing threw the book, not looking for anything but just looking at it. While doing so I found the back pages intriguing. The quotas from the bible on the were speaking to me, for me to read them. My son had also started awanas, and he came home with bible quotes. I just found it strange how I wanted to focus on the quotes on the back pages, and my son had come home with 1 to memorize.
So a few nights later I went to start reading Made To Crave, but before I did I said a little prayer. Not sure why but I just had the feeling that I needed to do so in order to really understand and take in what I was reading. I opened the first page and saw her dedications and was touched. When I glanced over to the page next to it I saw in tiny little letters Worship and Love. For some reason they touched me.
So enough about me lets talk about the book. I figured since this was a book geared towards weight loss that it could be used as a Book Club Book. While I was reading I was writing questions down, to find that after each chapter Lysa has a personal reflections spot. Which has good questions or thoughts to use for a Book Club. I love how Lysa writes as if she was writing in her personal journal or a diary. I also liked how she wrote things out then compares them to what the bible says.

1 John 2:15-16 "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him. For everything in the world- the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- comes not from the Father but from the world."
She then talks about how Satan lures us from the Lord. You have read the book to really get what she is saying by this. How-
Cravings= trying to get our physical desire met outside of the will of God.
Lust of eyes= trying to get our material desires met outside of the will of God.
Boasting= trying to get our needs from significance not met outside the will of God
I just like how she brakes it all down for us, because if you sit an think of it. We turn to everything first before God. We as humans will turn to sex, drugs, money, and food before we truly give our selves to God.
Lysa really makes this easy to read. Even for the non believers, too understand and who knows maybe they might become believers.
I think that Lysa has a great point our bodies crave what we eat, so if we eat junk we crave junk, if we eat healthy we eat healthy. So with that said we should all try to eat healthy for 14-21 days, then come back and see what happens. Don't worry about your weight during this time. I bet you will loose weight with out even knowing it. How much weight that is all up to each or our own bodies!
If you would like to learn more about Lysa go to her web page lysaterkeurst.com.
I was given Made To Crave by LitFuse Publicity Group for me to review.
